The remand order for a suspect believed to have been involved in the murder of 44-year-old Tan Ah Choy at a Shell petrol station in Taman Pelangi has been extended for another 7 days.
Magistrate Mohd Azlan Shah Mohd Allias allowed for the extension until Jan 4 next year after the case's investigation officer requested for it under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
According to AsiaOne, the 22-year-old suspect was among seven suspects who were detained in Singapore on Dec 20.
The remaining six suspects have since been released after their remand period ended on Dec 28.
A total of 15 people were initially held in connection with the alleged murder case.
Four suspects are still currently being remanded.
The brutal murder occurred on Dec 14, where a 44-year-old man was stabbed and run over by a white BMW twice at a petrol station located just 4km away from the Causeway.
On Dec 27, police recovered the white BMW that was used to run over the 44-year-old victim.
