34-year-old man arrested for allegedly molesting woman at Jalan Besar MRT station

A 34-year-old man who allegedly molested a woman at Jalan Besar MRT station was arrested on the same day (May 7).

The police had received a report about the incident from the victim.

"Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Central Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him along Lorong Chencharu on the same day," said the police.

Police investigations are ongoing.

The offence of outrage of modesty carries a jail term of up to two years and/or a fine and/or caning.
