A taxi was found to have crashed into a tree along McNair Road on Jan 29.
Stomper Jolene alerted us to the accident and sent in photos showing that the front of the taxi was badly crushed after crashing into a tree.
In response to media queries, the police told Stomp that they were alerted to the accident along McNair Road towards Towner Road at around 3.33pm.
"The taxi passenger, a 60-year-old woman, was conscious when conveyed to Raffles Hospital," said the police.
Stomp understands that the accident occurred when the driver had tried to avoid a vehicle that was in front and thus collided into a tree.
Police investigations are ongoing.
