Six men were drinking in a five-room flat at Block 340 Ubi Avenue 1 on Sunday afternoon (July 23), when a dispute arose between two of them and escalated into violence.
According to Lianhe Zaobao, the incident took place at around 3pm.
One man had used a knife to slash another guy in the face during a heated argument, leaving him "bloodied".
The victim, a 32-year-old Vietnamese man, first approached neighbours for help, then went downstairs to look for his attacker and left a 100-metre blood trail in the process.
He later went back upstairs and was eventually conveyed to Changi General Hospital (CGH) in an ambulance while in a conscious state.
Reporters who were alerted to the incident had rushed to the scene, where they found a blood-soaked towel and traces of blood.
Police have classified the incident as a case of voluntarily causing grievous hurt and investigations are ongoing.
