Both entrances from Sengkang into the Tampines Expressway (TPE) were closed yesterday afternoon after a lorry overturned, blocking the slip road leading into the expressway.
The Land Transport Authority posted an update on its traffic news Twitter account that the Sengkang East Road entrance into the TPE was closed due to an accident at 2.49pm.

They posted another tweet at 3.13pm saying that the Punggol Road entrance into the TPE was closed due to an accident on the TPE towards the Seletar Expressway (SLE).

In response to media queries, the police said that the accident happened at 2.38pm.
There were no reported injuries.
Stomper Pinto shared photos of the overturned lorry with Stomp, showing how the accident caused a massive jam on the expressway.
Police investigations are ongoing.
