Stomper Cher made a startling discovery after she took her first bite into an almond croissant from Baker & Cook at Sunset Way last week -- there was a strip of plastic in the pastry.
According to Cher, the piece of plastic was hard and close to 2cm in length. It is unknown where the plastic originated from.
The Stomper said:
"This is really worrying as that means the foreign object has been baked together with the food item.
"Hygiene and proper food handling is a real concern, even from a reputable cafe."
