Stomper YH Tay was on a cycling trip to Gardens by the Bay yesterday morning (Mar 17) when he spotted mynahs eating food that had been left on a stall's counter at Satay by the Bay.
In the photos the Stomper contributed, three mynahs can be seen perched on top of packets of noodles at the 'Noodle & Laksa' stall. Two of the birds are pecking away at a packet of egg noodles.
Said the Stomper:
"I think the food the birds were eating was delivered to the stall in the morning. The stall owners had not arrived yet.
"It is very unhygienic. The suppliers of the food should cover the food up if they leave it out in the open."
According to the Gardens by the Bay website, food stalls at Satay by the Bay are open daily from 11am to 10pm. The Stomper told Stomp that he witnessed the incident at 9.15am.
